Trinidad is found at the foot of the mountain range of Guamuhaya in Cuba and in the province of Sancti Spiritus on the Caribbean coast. The mountains, about 12 miles from Trinidad, are Topes de Collantes, one of the centers of Cuba and ecotourism.
